Porcelain Raft

"Talk to Me” is one of the most epic bummer songs ever. Actually, that’s not entirely the truth. It’s definitely a sad song, but there’s still some little bit of hope left in Mauro Remiddi’s tired voice." - thefader.com haha.. absolutely, only God knows his certain sadness, but it is an epic melody actually. anyway i will introduce you his others delicate works.

'Shook' me up

Electro funk synth -ish sound that pretty well goes on the radar and some of the electronic charts around the globe. with his signature mystical powered sun glasses, shook has messing around with some great remixes of M.I.A, Phoenix, Penguin Prison and many more, the result is superstitious and super cool.

Karl X Johan

who: closer to what's they called, they are Kalle J and Johan Tuvesson. Back then, Tuvesson used to be the singer of a project called "Nicolas Makelberge" while Kalle J’s with his wonderful single "Vingslag", So no wonder if i could say that Karl X Johan was a massive mind blowing project. They've just released their 'killer' debut "FLAMES" under a swedish label called Emotion . Sound was superb / grand / epic filled with strings and horns just like a big day ceremony. *super like

All Aboard!

'Cause we're going to sail with New Navy.. The talented young quartet from Sydney.
They'd just released out their debut EP "Uluwatu", and if you're an Indonesian you will think about the famous cliff-hanging temple/surf spot, in Bali called Uluwatu. But maybe it's not that one.. don't know, and don't care. So some people might says that their music is more like Two Door Cinema Club, VHS or Beta or even Friendly Fires. Yes i agree with them at some point, when i first heard "Zimbabwe", then i think these guys can be more than that, they have a lot of potentials to be Aussie next big thing. Just wait and see, people.. wait and see..

That makes me instantly hallucinating about the happy days of disco, all those cheesiness, overdress and overstyled crowd.. in a good way.

Spheres of Fury

Christopher Hewitt (Knucklehead) is one of my favorite film director with hard cut style editing and washed color cinematic frames. In colaboration with Tim Brown (1st AveMachine) which another great director, re-make a 80's war film titled Spheres of Fury with their own kind a style packed with comical and modern attitude. This video was nominated for best low budget music video at the 2010 Music Video Awards.

Metronomy - The English Riviera

After the bathetic electronic groans 'Nights Out" in 2008, Metronomy has made some changes. And The English Riviera album is miles removed from the glowstick-waving indie-dance that previously characterized Metronomy.. Instead, it piles on ambling good vibes and darts of sweet synth, along with bass lines that sculpt songs into various shapes; try listen to 'The Look' it become an exercise in restraint, calmly flitting.. like musical Tetris. Or a laid-back number; 'Everything Goes My Way' you can enjoy the bubbling synths whirr that mixed with Anna Prior's vocal. I'm in love agaaaaaaiiiinn..

'the' Destroyer

Who: Dan Bejar
The story: Started Destroyer as a solo home-recording project in the early to mid-nineties. In 1996, he released his debut full length of stripped-down, lo-fi electric folk, We'll Build Them a Golden Bridge. Soon the Destroyer template expanded to include a rhythm section, and Bejar was compelled to head into a proper studio to record City of Daughters in 1998. It was with Daughters that Bejar began to develop his own unique lyrical voice, a voice that continued to evolve and refine itself over the course of his next two records, Thief and Streethawk: A Seduction. Destroyer seemingly had produced its masterwork with Streethawk, a highly refined send-up and condemnation of popular culture, an idea honed to razor-sharp precision. The album became one of the most acclaimed recordings of 2001, and the Destroyer mystique captured music fans and critics alike.
The sound remind me of Roxy music and brian eno smooth nineties era.

i was watching a hubble documentary film, narrated by leonardo dicaprio. it was amazing images of what else above our atmosphere. just slightly ahead on my mind is a panaromic vision from above the earth on a time lapse while you slowly away from it. its like how beautiful it feels the moment you are apart from your living life. i guess this is the same feeling when i listening this le prix and johan agebjorn mix.

Mitzi -- Yeah disco is definitely not dead!

Not that far away.. from sunny Brisbane - Australia came up Mitzi, the guise of Dominiqe Bird, Jad Lee, Charles Murdoch and Cale Suesskow in what first seemed to be unusual collaboration, has taken form, developing a recognisable sound. There’s an undeniable nostalgia to their tunes, no doubt in part due to the band’s experiments with original equipment and production techniques from days gone by. Anyway according to Mr. Suesskow.. Mitzi is the name of a beautiful Puerto Rican woman, they have met at a bar who they have not seen or heard from since.

So when other fellow Australian does a new haircut for New Wave, Mitzi does a new facelift for Disco..
